A handheld mega-particle gun with a lower focusing rate than a beam rifle and short range. The beam spray gun featured three fire modes: a basic single shot mode, an area suppression burst shot with a widened beam focus, and a range shot with the ability to cause damage over a wide area.

BLASH XBR-M-79E Beam Rifle
The same beam rifle as used by the Gundam Ground Type, it is a redesign of the RX-78-2 Gundam's XBR-M-79-07G beam rifle. Instead of the 79-07G’s large movable sensor, this rifle is fitted with the BP-SS-001 composite box-type sensor system utilized on the BR-M-79C-3 Beam Spray Gun, granting the weapon improved targeting precision.

Combat Changes for Tabletop

Movement and Movement Actions:

• Charge: Spend an Action to double movement speed for one turn.
• Disengage: Spend an Action to escape close combat and move away.
• Take Aim: Spend a Swift Action to sacrifice Movement to increase ranged accuracy by 1. If performed over multiple rounds, the bonus increases by 1 up to a maximum of 3. Swift Action is only expended on the first use.

A machine with a Terrain+ attribute are specially designed or modified to excel in a given terrain, providing them a +1 bonus to Movement when operating in that terrain.

Flight:
Machines with the Air terrain are capable of Flight. A machine with Ground/Air Terrain types may spend a Movement Action to switch between fighting on the ground or flying in the sky. Machines that are flying gain a +1 bonus to Movement.

Machines that are flying are treated as two squares away from a given target. A pilot may attempt a melee attack against a flying enemy, but they must expend a Movement Action to do so and suffer a -2 penalty to attack accuracy. A flying enemy can only perform melee attacks if the weapon has either a range of 3 or their target is also flying.

Defensive Bonuses/Maneuvers:
Cover: Provides Evasion bonus based on degree of coverage.

• Half Cover: +1 bonus to Evasion.
• 3/4 Cover: +2 bonus to Evasion
• Total Cover: Immune to non-explosive attacks.

Explosive damage reduces the grade of cover by one. 3/4 Cover is treated as Half, Total Cover is treated as 3/4. Grenades reduce the grade by 2.

Damage Resistance and Weakness:
If a machine has resistance to a damage type, it takes half damage from that damage type.

Anything with a damage weakness takes double damage from that type of damage.

Shields and Resistance:
A shield with resistance instead negates damage type effects. For example, a shield with Piercing resistance negates the bleed through effect of Piercing damage. A shield with Heat resistance negates the bonus damage to shields dealt by Heat weapons.

A Shield with Physical resistance operates under the same rules as mobile suits, it halves physical damage taken.

Weapon Damage Bonus Calculations: Even Number Tier divided among Range and Melee.

Example: Tier 4 MS has 4 points to spread based on specialization. A general use, non-specialized build would divide that into +2 for both Range and Melee.

A Tier 5 MS would use the same value as a Tier 4.

A Tier 6 MS would have 6 points to distribute.
