Death Army
The Death Army is considered the main threat to mankind, seemingly intent on exterminating any settlements that display signs of technological progression, solidified structure, or significant population growth. The mobile suits are suspected to have been intentionally designed to strike fear in individuals with their imposing exterior. Initially many mistook the Death Army to be demons or other mythological creatures, however, this illusion has started to be dispelled by the increasing number of people discovering Vaults and using other mobile suits to fight back.
Recovered Death Army mobile suits lack a cockpit, and appear to be controlled by some kind of remote or autonomous control system. Many of their more advanced models boast environmental specializations to allow them to cover any terrain, typically in the form of external equipment added onto a base Death Army mobile suit to increase unit versatility.
Mobile Suits
Death Army

General-Purpose Mobile Suit
The Death Army Trooper (or Death Trooper) is the mainstay unit of the Death Army, serving as a customizable general-purpose machine that can be easily re-equipped for a number of different roles. The Trooper usually serves a mid-range combat role, frequently protecting artillery and sniper units from direct attacks.
[/PTab][PTab=Death Army Brawler]JDG-009X/M Death Army Brawler
Close-Quarter-Combat Mobile Suit
The Death Brawler was most likely fielded in response to the growing number of mobile suits utilising "fire-and-shield" tactics, typically charging in to attack enemies in melee range. Typically Brawlers field integrated lightweight ranged weapons, leaving the suit free to wield melee weapons with both hands.
Unlike other variants, the Brawler has demonstrated a berserker-like tendency to mercilessly engage enemies without much concern for its own safety.
[/PTab][PTab=Death Army Scrapper]JDG-009X/MA Death Army Scrapper
Close-Quarter-Combat Assault Mobile Suit
Unlike other Death Army Mobile Suits, the Scrapper demonstrates a worrying new level of innovation previously unseen. While most of its structure is identical to the Death Army Trooper base, its modified backpack has two additional fully-articulate arms mounted on it and a hover unit on the back of the waist. Most often these extra arms are used to wield more weapons, or grapple enemy machines so that allied units can attack the exposed suit.
Furthermore, the surviving components of the Scrapper's systems suggest that it is the first autonomous Death Army mobile suit to use a customised control system, instead of a general-purpose program installed into the Trooper and its variants. This may explain the Scrapper's merciless tendency to simply switching targets if disengaged in combat, rather than wasting energy to pursue the attacker.
[/PTab][PTab=Death Army Ranger]JDG-009X/R Death Army Ranger
Ranged Combat Mobile Suit
Death Rangers typically operate in a fire-support role and stay towards the rear of formations to maintain distance from enemies. Rangers will often be equipped with artillery weapons or sniper rifles to make up for the lack in firepower from standard units.[/PTab][/PTabbedContent]
Death Beasts
[PTabbedContent][PTab=Death Beast Sentinel]JDG-009XBE/G Death Beast Sentinel
General-Purpose Mobile Suit
The first variation of machine seen fielded by the Death Army, upon further investigation the Death Beast appears to be a standard Trooper unit outfitted with additional equipment, replacing the standard legs with four thinner and more maneuverable ones. This quadruped platform can move faster and is capable of full rotation, effectively making the Death Beast a high-mobility weapons platform with considerable coverage. The additional legs have also been seen providing the Beast with a rudimentary flight mode, allowing it to hover over the ground for higher travel speeds, though this has only been seen used outside of combat. In the event that the external legs are destroyed, the unit can redeploy its regular legs, normally kept folded up against its back.
[/PTab][PTab=Death Beast Charger]JDG-009XBE/M Death Beast Charger
Close-Quarter Combat Mobile Suit
Unlike its bipedal counterpart, the Death Beast Charger is less prone to reckless melee strikes but favours heavier and long-reaching melee weapons, using its extra legs to rapidly shift its centre of mass to increase the amount of force behind each hit.
[/PTab][PTab=Death Beast Stalker]JDG-009XBE/R Death Beast Stalker
Ranged Combat Mobile Suit
The superior level of stability provides the Death Beast Stalker with better recoil management for heavy weapons, effectively making it a walking turret. Death Stalkers are most often found towards the rear of a formation, providing heavy fire support unimpeded while allied units cover them.

Death Birdy
[PTabbedContent][PTab=Death Birdy]JDG-009XBI/G Death Birdie Raptor
Mass Production Aerial Mobile Suit
The second variation of machine fielded by the Death Army. Like the Death Beast, the Death Birdy is a modified Death Army Trooper, but with a focus on heavy artillery and flight capability compared to the Death Beasts' superior land mobility and turret roles. Unlike the Death Beasts, the original legs have been removed entirely in favor of improved aerodynamic flight, making it entirely dependent on its flight unit. Death Birdy's fight more like gunships than mobile suits, attacking from afar with heavy firepower and rarely engaging up close. Every Death Birdy encountered so far has been armed with beam cannons, allowing for devastating strafing attacks. Some have had grenade launchers installed into their giant claws as well for bombing runs.[/PTab]

Black Terror
[PTabbedContent][PTab=Black Terror]RX-78-01[FSD] Gundam FSD
Custom Mobile Suit
Also nicknamed "Death Gundam", this unit is so far the first known Gundam-type mobile suit fielded by Death Army forces, and the first to have ever transmitted spoken word. It is not clear whether this machine is controlled by a more sophisticated AI than regular units, or if it has a pilot on board instead. The "Death Gundam" appears to serve as a commander unit in the field and boasts several high-powered beam weapons for both melee and ranged combat and has demonstrated far higher durability in combat, directly engaging it is not recommended without a sufficiently large force.
It is currently unknown as to why the Black Terror unit has not been seen until now, possibly either in direct response to increasingly aggressive strikes by groups such as the Resistance, or that past encounters have not had any survivors to tell the tale. Capture or destruction of this machine is considered a high priority. However it is entirely expected to be escorted by numerous other Death Army units for its own protection, making this a very difficult objective.[/PTab]
