Enhancement ability: Focused Mind: The character can roll after the first three turns to unleash the "Focused Mind" ability. Essentially their will to win or survive becomes so strong that they push their abilities to the maximum. Requiring a roll of 15 or higher, if successful, all modifiers and critical range are increased by 1 for the remainder of the battle. If the roll fails, another may be attempted after the next 2 turns. Rank A Veteran's require only a roll of 12 or higher to use this ability. Focused Mind uses the Wisdom stat for roll modifier.

Focus Mind will activate automatically if the pilot is near defeat, in this case meaning their machine is at or below 35% durability. Focused Mind cannot be used in Arena.

Appearance: Relan is a average build, muscular man, with dark brown hair, a dark tanned skin, brown eyes, and a heavily scarred face.  Relan Wears a mask at all times to cover his scars, so his face is rarely ever seen.  Relan wears baggy pants, soft soled shoes, hardly ever wears a shirt, and wears cloth wraps around his hands, like boxers or martial artists use.

Personality:
Relan is a born fighter, possessing both the need to fight, and the will to fight.  His main weapons are his fists, though he is known to use a short blade at times.  He works out constantly, keeping his body in good shape, carefully monitors what he eats.  His goal is to fight as many opponents as he can, and defeat as many as possible.  He will never back down from a fight, no matter the odds against him, and he believes with all his heart that he can win.  Relan can come up with multiple ways to fight his opponent, not just with weapons, but with other means at his disposal, though he will never go so far as to cheat in  combat.  He Loves what he does, but he rarely shows it. 

Relan has no sense of direction, though he is always aware of his surroundings.  Relan is straightforward with people, always telling it like it is. Relan thinks it is his job to protect his fellow fighters around him, even if they don't need it, or want it. Relan has a prideful streak a mile long.

History: Not much about Relan's past is known, and he does not like to talk about his childhood.  What is known about Relan started when he was in his teens, when he started getting into street fights in his small village.  Fights were the local sport in the town, and people even bet money on the winner of each fight.  Relan was one of the best around, along side of his best friend Alandro, who became his rival.

As Relan and Alandro got older, they found bigger fights, ones that earned them more money.  One day Relan was approached by a group of people who wanted him to throw a fight vs Alandro.  Relan reluctantly agreed, but during the fight, things went bad for him.  In his attempt to throw the fight, an accident happens, killing Alandro, and seriously harming Relan in the process.

From that point on, Relan was not the same fighter.  Where before he was mostly a unarmed fighter, Relan started taking up the use of a short blade as well to aid him in combat.  While traveling looking for more fights, Relan accidentally ran into a group of resistance fighters.  Taking interest in their giant robots, Relan realized that this was the kind of fight he wanted to take part in.  He quickly signed up for the resistance, using his skills learned in real life to fight in mobile suit combat.

Reinforced Limbs
Effect: Reinforces the mobile suit’s limbs for unarmed combat and brawling. Allows the mobile suit to equip certain weapon upgrades to their unarmed strikes. For weight purposes, unarmed strikes are treated as integrated light weapons weighing 2 each. This means the default weight does not affect the mobile suits weight capacity and cannot be reduced, but any additional weight (such as from a size increase) will be counted. “Sub-weapon” upgrades cannot be equipped.

Leg-Mounted Thrusters

Active (1 actions): Extra thrusters installed in the calves and/or feet of a mobile suit for improved speed and maneuverability. Once per turn you can launch yourself into the air to perform a melee attack against an airborne enemy. The resulting fall and landing inflicts a -2 ER penalty until the start of your next turn.
Special: Flight-capable suits instead gain +1 on charge attempts against airborne targets. Hover-capable suits can spend an action to slow their fall, negating the ER penalty.

High-Tuned Motors
Location: Limbs (Both Arms & Legs)
Passive: +1 Mobility
Active (0 actions): The motors in your suits limbs have been tuned to compensate for frequent, aggressive movements. If you perform a Flurry with light or strike melee weapons (including unarmed strikes), you can choose to either negate the accuracy penalty or add half your melee bonus to all attacks (this bonus stacks with any feats that grant bonus damage while dual-wielding). The decision must be made before rolling your attacks.

Enhanced Power Flow
Improved systems installed throughout the mobile suit, allowing power to be more efficiently directed through its limbs.
