Thanks to the GN Proto Sword, which explicitly states has properties of both a beam saber and a solid sword (thanks AD). Since the GN Proto Sword is the predecessor of every GN Sword, and that they all use the same principle to enhance their power (GN Particles) that means this applies to every other GN Physical weapon as well. I am writing up a revision to the GN Physical damage type in response to this.
GN Physical: +25% damage vs non-beam resistant. Can resist beam weapons. Ignores GN Fields if melee, bonus is doubled vs GN Fields if ranged. Damage is standard Physical if used by a Non-GNMS.
Example:
GN Proto Sword
A close combat weapon with a large physical blade enveloped in GN Particles, it has properties of both a beam saber and a solid sword. Due to its large size, it was designed to be foldable so as not to be a hindrance when not in use.
